This grapich card is the "Totally Silent" version of SAPPHIRE HD5550 series with the usual brand "ULTIMATE edition". The new SAPPHIRE ULTIMATE HD5550 has been engineered by SAPPHIRE using heatpipe technology to bring a totally silent solution to this graphics family. As it uses no fan it must be installed in a case with good system ventilation. SAPPHIRE ULTIMATE HD5550 is ideal for HTPC or for office, home-office, gaming computers that are required to run quietly. SAPPHIRE ULTIMATE HD5550 is based on the latest graphics architecture from the ATI division of AMD, the second generation of GPU to be built in its 40nm process. It is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, including support for the advanced graphical features of Microsoft DirectX 11, and delivers excellent video clarity and visual effects whilst consuming very low power levels. Thanks to its low power consumption, this card no needs for external power, so it's the ideal solution for upgrading mainstream PCs.
